You don’t want him for 82 … but as a TD addition .. he could provide big game heroics.

If Quick is added at the trade deadline, that likely means the Leafs haven't figured out their goaltending situation

If they are adding a goalie at the deadline, then they've got issues.

I wouldn't be all that surprised if that's the route they go.

The last, like, 3 or 4 blogs have all centered around what we were talking about in the previous blogs comments.

And that's what they were trying to do last trade deadline.

Well it could be due to injury but overall you're right.

Sign players for big money then try and get other teams to happily trade for them when they lose value.

Also, known as the "Lou Lamoriello method".. Sign a bunch of washed up players to massive contracts, trade Devon Toews for pennies on the dollar.

De Boer in Dallas. 4.25 million. It would seem that Babcock legit did change the salary of coaches. I don't think coaches were this highly paid before his mega deal.

IMHO The Leafs need to sign a starter (whomever that may be, JC, or someone else that debate is endless) and swing a deal with San Jose to get Optimus Reims as a back up. They could probably get him for 1.5 if SJ retains salary and that's a steal for a back up who is 34 and has proven he can be a reliable 1B option.

The more I think about this the more I want him back here in Toronto.

This is of course contingent on Mrazek being moved.

Mrazek is being moved in some deal just depends on the asset costs. I would prefer to send a 2nd round and some B level prospect than to buy him out

The problem is that all of the starters being considered are risky. IMO, that argues against bringing in a reliable, low ceiling backup. If we’re going to roll the dice, I’d rather do it twice and increase the odds of rolling a winner. Is Jimmy a 1b or a 2?

To be fair, Ward Cleaver might be the most boring man in the world and the Beave really was a handful
